The examination appointment is designed to answer a few basic questions that most patients and parents have:
- Is there a problem that would benefit from orthodontic treatment?
- What is the best treatment to correct the problem?
- What is the estimated length of treatment?
- When is the best time to begin treatment?
- What are the costs of orthodontic treatment, and what financial arrangements are available?
When you come in for your first visit, please let us know if there are special concerns that you would like us to address. We want this initial visit to be a helpful service to your family and your family dentist. We are happy to provide this service at no charge.
If treatment is indicated for you, we will need diagnostic records to determine the best approach to treatment. Diagnostic records consist of plaster study mould of the teeth, a series of diagnostic x-rays and photographs of the face and teeth. Many times in our schedule, we are able to accommodate you that same day for the records appointment, if required. Please check with our scheduling coordinator.
